HAND PAINTED COINS

This beautiful hand painted coin or medallion continues a very old art form of a family of artists originating in the country of Wales nearly four generations ago. The artists of this family have carefully selected each coin from only those in excellent condition, and after choosing from a selection of miniature curved and straight brushes, painted each detail that already exists on the coin. In painstaking fashion, the artists have applied color to initially outline the design, followed by a high-temperature firing process. The process is repeated after each color is applied. The process time for each coin varies, some taking many hours to complete. In the final stage of the process, a space-age coating is applied to add depth, luster and a measure of protection forever.

Because all colors are mixed by hand at the time of application, no two coins are identical. This ensures each item to be truly original. This uniquely created hand painted coin or medallion is truly a gift or keepsake to be treasured forever.
